14th October, yes i still remember,
counting down the minutes til the 15th October.
sat by the phone, in the room alone,
mom and dad thought i was asleep.
(how could i sleep)
knowing you'd be there to wish me tonight.
(one birthday wish)
was for you to be forever by my side.

its been so many birthdays and falling stars
and i still
only wish

15th October, my heart felt desire,
you called right on time to wish my heart was on fire.
we talked through the night, til you said "sleep tight"
you thought that i was going to bed.
(how could i sleep)
after all the things that we talked about
(the good and the bad)
you know how i feel no doubt.
